Programme

Thanks to the earlier funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering, we have a programme of group sessions that community building operators can use to understand what a net zero future holds for their own premises.

This section of the website explains the programme to potential groups and to potential engineers who wish to volunteer to help their local communities. If you prefer, go straight to the Guide Book with full programme details.

How HeatHack works

You choose a small group to participate that together help you understand the building, local community needs, and how your organisation makes decisions. We give you the schedules for 4 two hour sessions that will get you on your way. Everything you need is in our Guide Book.

We recommend you find a volunteer engineer to help with your group because they are problem-solvers by nature and very good with practicalities like planning and budgets – but you are free to use what we provide any way you want. We are often able to provide support for community groups, and can seek funding to do this – if you need help, please ask. In some areas, we have links to other services and funders, and these links are growing fast.
